Create a QR code

Content stays in this browser. URLs are encoded as text and are never requested.

More settings

Four modules of quiet space are retained. Contrast must be at least 7:1; higher correction lowers capacity. Wi-Fi passwords are readable by anyone who scans the code.

Help & FAQs

Turn text, a URL or Wi-Fi details into a QR code in your browser. Review the generated image before downloading.

How to use this tool

  1. Enter text or a URL, or choose Wi-Fi and enter its network details.
  2. Optionally change correction, output size or high-contrast colors.
  3. Generate, download PNG or SVG, and test it with your intended scanner.

Capacity and scan quality

Content is limited to 2048 UTF-8 bytes; the actual QR capacity also depends on error correction. Outputs are 256–2048px and retain a four-module quiet zone, with at least two pixels per module.

Use a dark foreground and a light background. This tool requires 7:1 contrast, but lighting, print size and the scanning device still affect readability. No logos are inserted.

Common questions

Does the tool visit my URL?

No. A URL is encoded as text without a network request.

Is a Wi-Fi password private inside the QR code?

No. Anyone who scans the code can read the network name and password. Open, WPA/WPA2 and WEP network fields are supported; device compatibility varies.

What is in the SVG download?

Only fixed SVG shapes, validated colors and numeric geometry. Your text, URLs, Wi-Fi details and filenames are not written into SVG metadata.
