Help & FAQs

Clean pasted lists or logs locally. Choose exact duplicate removal, empty-line removal and space trimming, review the original beside the result, then copy or download UTF-8 TXT.

How to use

  1. Paste the original text.
  2. Select cleanup options and run Clean text.
  3. Review the result, then copy or download it.

Line and whitespace rules

Duplicate removal keeps the first occurrence and original order. Trimming removes only ASCII spaces and tabs at each line edge. Empty-line removal deletes zero-length lines after trimming; lines containing other whitespace remain. Each option is explicit.

Recognized line endings are CRLF, CR and LF. Preserve mode keeps surviving separators; the original final-newline presence and its separator are retained when output is nonempty. You can explicitly normalize to LF or CRLF. Removing every line produces a valid empty TXT.

Input is bounded to 100,000 UTF-16 units / 400,000 UTF-8 bytes; output to 300,000 units / 400,000 bytes. Broken surrogates are rejected. Processing yields every 512 lines with a 45-second checkpoint budget. Editing or cancelling invalidates the previous result.

Common questions

Does cleanup change capitalization or Unicode characters?

No. Duplicate matching is case-sensitive and exact after any selected trimming. NBSP, full-width spaces, punctuation and Unicode normalization remain unchanged.
