Prepare app icons

Static JPEG/PNG/WebP · 15MB / 16MP / 8192px per side

Switching platform keeps the selected logo, resets platform settings and invalidates previous assets.

Use the complete image, including its existing background. Platform masks may crop the edges.

Full layer 108dp; central viewport 72dp. The 66dp square and circle are design references, not a guarantee for every mask.

Monochrome uses the existing alpha silhouette. Opaque photos remain rectangles; no automatic segmentation.

Play is a separate unmasked 512px square, 8-bit RGBA / at most 1,024,000 bytes. Inspect before use; no approval guarantee.

With enlargement disabled, one common logo size is capped by the largest selected output. The summary shows the actual size.

Help & FAQs

Choose once; switch tools freely.

Place one logo, select Android or iOS / iPadOS, then inspect and download the actual assets.

How to prepare the icon

  1. Choose a static JPEG, PNG or WebP image, then select the platform. Complete artwork fills the icon by default; select transparent Logo mode to add padding.
  2. Review the Android layer/mask references or iOS 40/60/80px samples. Select the output options or source appearance role.
  3. Generate and inspect the actual PNGs, then download the source or ZIP. Integrate the assets in your own project.

Separate Android asset roles

Adaptive foreground layers are 108/162/216/324/432px for mdpi through xxxhdpi, with a color background and API26 adaptive XML. Legacy flattened icons use the central 72dp viewport at 48/72/96/144/192px. Optional API33 monochrome layers are the source alpha silhouette, not subject segmentation. Optional Play output is a separate unmasked 512px opaque square, 8-bit RGBA PNG, no larger than 1,024,000 bytes.

One static JPEG/PNG/WebP input is limited to 15MB, 16MP and 8192px per side. Sequential export has a 50MB package limit and 45-second checkpoints. The browser applies orientation once, creates fresh PNGs without source metadata, and releases canvases, bitmaps and URLs on invalidation.

iOS source roles

iOS / iPadOS produces one unmasked 1024px PNG for the selected source role. Any uses an explicit opaque background, Dark preserves alpha, and Tinted uses 0.2126R + 0.7152G + 0.0722B weighted sRGB-channel grayscale while preserving alpha. Select the matching appearance in your own Xcode Single Size workflow. This raster preparation does not export a version-tested AppIcon catalog or native Icon Composer .icon file, reproduce dynamic materials, or guarantee store approval. Native Xcode import remains unverified.

Common questions

Are these exact previews for every launcher?

No. The 108dp layer, central 72dp viewport and 66dp square/optional conservative circle guides are different references. The corners of a 66dp square do not all fit in a 72dp circle. Circle, rounded-square and approximate squircle examples are not an OEM or animation guarantee. Masks are only previews and are not baked into PNGs.

Does the monochrome layer remove a photo background?

No. It colors the existing alpha silhouette black. An opaque photo creates an opaque rectangle; use a transparent logo or explicitly prepare a mask in the background tool first.

Does the ZIP configure my app or guarantee store approval?

No. It contains actual resources and instructions but does not edit AndroidManifest, create a full app or guarantee Google Play acceptance. Inspect the output and compile it in your project.

Do iOS samples reproduce the system appearance?

No. Small samples and layout guides are viewing aids. Export stays square and unmasked. Native Xcode/actool, iOS devices and dynamic Icon Composer appearance have not been validated by this browser tool.
