Help & FAQs
Choose once; switch tools freely.
Place one logo independently for ordinary and maskable outputs, then inspect the actual files.
How to prepare the icon
- Choose one static JPEG, PNG or WebP image. Adjust ordinary and maskable placement separately.
- Review small favicon samples and the guaranteed maskable circle. Select an opaque background for touch and maskable icons.
- Generate and inspect real PNGs, download the ICO or ZIP, then review and merge the site snippets yourself.
Distinct website asset roles
The ZIP contains 16/32px favicon PNGs, one real ICO with 16/32/48px PNG frames, a 180px opaque Apple touch icon, 192/512px transparent-capable ordinary icons and separate 192/512px opaque maskable icons. Ordinary and maskable have independent logo placement. The guaranteed maskable area is a centered circle with radius 40% of the side; artwork outside can be clipped. Previews and guides are not baked into outputs.
One static JPEG/PNG/WebP input is limited to 15MB, 16MP and 8192px per side. The package is limited to 50MB, the ICO to 1MB, with 45-second checkpoints. Enlargement is off by default and bounded by the largest 512px output. Fresh PNGs apply orientation once and omit source metadata.
Review the integration snippets
manifest-icons.json contains only an icons field, with fixed relative paths, actual sizes and separate any/maskable purposes. Relative src paths resolve from your manifest location. icon-links.html.txt is selectable text, never executed. Copy the files and adapt paths in your own site. An icon ZIP is not a complete installable PWA; name, start_url, display, secure hosting and other site requirements are separate.
Common questions
Are ordinary and maskable icons the same?
No. They use independent placement. Ordinary PNGs preserve transparency; touch and maskable icons use your opaque background. The maskable guaranteed circle differs from Android adaptive-icon geometry.
Is this a PNG renamed to ICO?
No. It is an ICO container with actual 16/32/48px PNG frames. Modern browser decoding is checked; old Windows applications and every legacy decoder are not promised.
Does the tool scan or deploy my website?
No. Everything uses your local image. Review the static snippets and integrate files yourself; no website fetching, deployment or PWA installation is performed.
